My coin design of 'David Playing for Saul' participated in Israel Coins & Medals Corporation’s competition. The coin depicts a scene that was dictated by the competition’s brief, in which David played sweetly on his harp and relieved Saul of his depressive spirit, unaware of David’s future anointment as king.
In the illustration, I faced David and Saul as equals, scepter against harp, hinting at the events to come.
